A clear product decision starts with a useful brief. The NORTHWORKS demonstration presents a simple process for moving from an initial requirement to a reviewable configuration. The exact services, deliverables, fees and timescales for a real project must be agreed separately with the actual supplier.
01 — Understand the setting
Describe where the product will be used, who will use it and what needs to happen around it. For interiors, share a room plan and material direction. For industrial components, include the workpiece and interfaces. For technology, list the host devices and environment. For outdoor products, describe exposure, maintenance and storage.
02 — Define a configuration
Select the relevant model or product family and record the proposed size, finish, accessories and connection details. Separate confirmed requirements from open questions. A configuration schedule should say what is included, what is optional and what another member of the project team must provide.
03 — Review samples and interfaces
Agree what needs to be seen, measured or tested before a decision can be made. That may involve material samples, a physical mock-up, a compatible device setup or a representative transfer test. Keep the review conditions and remaining limitations alongside the result so later decisions retain their context.
04 — Prepare the handover
A useful handover may include approved drawings, a component list, installation information, care guidance and a record of the final configuration. Delivery, assembly, training, replacement parts and ongoing support should be stated explicitly in the agreed scope. This demonstration does not automatically include any of those services.
