Compact Pneumatic Clamp

CL90 is a pneumatic clamping concept for fixtures where access, contact position and service space must be considered together. Design the contact point first

The clamp should act through a suitable part of the workpiece and toward a defined support. Review the contact area, permitted surface pressure and the effect of dimensional variation. The contact tip shown is a sample detail; the final geometry and material depend on the part.

Coordinate the complete circuit

A clamp is one element in a larger pneumatic and control arrangement. Supply pressure, valve behaviour, flow control, sensing and the response to loss of pressure must be defined together. Access guarding and the machine’s operating sequence belong to the overall system assessment.

Prepare for maintenance

Leave room to reach fasteners and inspect the moving arm. Include tubing routing, a component identifier and a reference position in the installation drawing. Keep inspection intervals and replacement parts in the maintenance plan agreed for the final machine.
