Shore Outdoor Lounge Chair

Shore is a lounge-chair concept with a low profile, broad armrests and an open slatted seat. A warm timber palette gives the piece a natural relationship with paving, planting and outdoor textures. The sample arrangement is intended for a terrace seating group with room to move comfortably around each chair.

Define the exposure

A sheltered courtyard, a rooftop and a coastal location create different demands. Describe rain exposure, direct sunlight, wind and the proposed off-season storage arrangement. Timber species, coating, fasteners and any cushion system must be selected against the actual site conditions.

Consider use across the day

Check the relationship between seat height, side tables and access routes. Decide whether furniture stays in place or is moved for cleaning and events. Where cushions are part of the proposal, include handling, drying and storage in the operational plan rather than treating them as a purely visual choice.

Care is part of the specification

Outdoor materials change in appearance with use and exposure. Agree the intended finish, acceptable weathering and the cleaning or refinishing approach for the final material. The project handover should identify replacement parts and describe how the furniture is inspected over time.
